On this ecotour from Rurrenabaque, wildlife lovers spend three full days in the Bolivian Amazon Basin and the Pampas. Spend two nights at an ecolodge equipped with mosquito nets, hammocks, and full board. Guided boat trips take you among the habitats of different species including crocodiles and caiman. Search for anacondas, pink dolphins (seasonal), capybaras, monkeys, giant anteaters, porcupines, toucans, and macaws with a small group max of 10 people.
Departing from Rurrenabaque 9:00 a.m. in a comfortable car with A/C to Santa Rosa, leaving at this time have great opportunities to see sloths, anteaters, birds, and other animals along the road. Around midday, take a boat for 15 minutes to our eco-lodge, “The Turtles” there, have a cold seasonal fruit juice, after this the cabins for the whole group staying both nights will be shown, next have a delicious lunch. Around 2:00 pm go for a boat trip and look for pink river dolphins, during the boat trip see birds, turtles, alligators and some extra wildlife. After dinner, take a short night walk looking for insects, amphibians, and other night wild life.
First, go around the Train Cemetery to observe the remnants of the eighteenth and early twentieth-century locomotives (The perfect spot to take artistic pictures).
Then, arrive at Colchani village to appreciate the salt production and take a short walk through the artisanal market and the museum. Later, the immense Uyuni Salt Flats at an altitude of 3,663 m.o.s.l. which extends over an area of 12,000 km². Along the trip, visit: Salt eyes, Salt Hotel-Museum (Built entirely of salt blocks), Dakar Monument, Flags of the world, and finally, arrive at Incahuasi Island to appreciate the beautiful view and the giant cactus.
At the end of the day, take your time in the sunset with a glass of wine, and get to the hotel for dinner time.
Wake up early in the morning listening to nature sounds that receive the first sun light. After having a delicious breakfast take the boat along the River Yacuma again looking for the squirrel, howler, cappuccino monkeys, many amazon birds, etc. Return to the eco-lodge for lunch. Then, after resting, either in your room or in the hammocks, go to a different location to see capybaras, fish piranhas. At night, have dinner , following, go for a small walk around the lodge looking for nocturnal animals and caiman spotting.Later, an exquisite lunch, Siloli desert, Stone Tree.
At the final of the day, arrive at Red Lagoon which is inhabited by numerous flamingos, within these species there are 3 varieties: Chilean, James, and Andean. Finally, head to the hotel in the community of “Huayllajara” to have dinner, and rest
Get up early (5:30 am) to watch the sunrise and listen to the sounds of daybreak: monkeys cries and birdsongs. After breakfast, take a short walk in the pampas to look for the impressive anaconda (depending on the season). Return to the lodge for lunch and after it, go back to Rurrenabaque at about 4:30 p.m
